Wayne is a highly experienced expert in communications, technical surveillance/ counter-surveillance, and electronics. He’s also an active amateur radio operator who holds amateur radio’s highest license class, Amateur Radio Extra, with the call sign KB4DSF. He’s provided training at all levels in electronics, computer science, and radio communications (to include amateur radio licensing).

Background & Experience

Wayne has over 35 years of Federal service in the wireless technologies arena to include electronic warfare and more than 20 years in law enforcement serving as a special agent in the technical services divisions of two Federal agencies. Wayne has extensive experience providing electronic support to criminal and counter-intelligence investigations. His support included covert, surreptitious installations; custom built electronic surveillance systems; and radio communications. Wayne is retired from Federal service and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Wayne’s teaching experience includes numerous aspects of radio communications, Wi-Fi technologies, and wireless security. Wayne also teaches electronics, computer science, and radio science to youth in the community and is a robotics club coach. Wayne is an active member of the local amateur radio association. His amateur radio experience includes off-grid local, regional, and worldwide voice, Morse code (CW), and data communications using licensed and unlicensed (ISM) devices.
